Mr. PHOUNG VUTHY, Founder & Managing Director

Vuthy is one of the most experienced researchers in Cambodia. He provides clients with in-depth insights and strategies into the Cambodian market that are always found very useful.

He has more than 18 years experience in marketing and research in Cambodia. He started his market research career back in 2006. Before he moved to MRTS, he was a founding member and the country director of another research company in Cambodia for almost 8 years.

Vuthy gains his experience from his work with clients both local and international on a broad range of sectors including banking and finance, telecommunication, construction, health care, FMCG, agriculture and media.

Vuthy is also the founder of Market Research Club (MRC) which is an active community of market research and other marketing professionals. MRC is so far the only club that focuses on building young researchers and taking part in human resource development in Cambodia.

Mr. MIKE HENSGEN, Managing Partner

Mike Hensgen is a veteran marketing/advertising professional with an extensive career in executive management positions at established international companies and advertising agencies and smaller, nimble startups and entrepreneurial ventures.He is an American expat, living in in Southeast Asia for five years, previously in Bangkok, Thailand, and now in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

His background ranges from large scale projects like the Texaco/Caltex Olympic sponsorship program to local promotions for smallerretail outlets in the home fitness, fast oil change and fast food categories.

His skillsets include strategic market analysis and planning, traditional media advertising in television and print, and now with the growth of online businesses and marketing platforms, online advertising and social media.

Just some of the B2C and B2B companies he has worked for and with include Texaco/Caltex, Chevron, Pennzoil, Ralston Purina, eRealty, Europcar, BusyBody Home Fitness, Mascotte and Merck/Calgon.


Mr. HEMANT PADHYE, Insight Consultant

Hemant did his B.E. in Chemical Engineering.He brings along close to 20+ years of rich experience in Business to Business and Quantitative research methods.

He has previously worked in agencies like ORG-Marg, Indica, and Ipsos in India.

He has  extensive experience in projects ranging from Demand Estimation for Industrial Products, Brand tracking, U&A, Product testing, Concept Testing, Dealer & Customer Satisfaction, NPS.

He worked as Head – Market Insight & Intelligence at Pidilite Industries Ltd, for 7 years till Nov. 2017. His last assignment was as Director, Vox Populi Research & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. where he worked for 5 months.

Ms. KHIEV NARIN, Research & Data  Manager

Narin started her career in a market research agency in Cambodia in 2013. She was promoted and has been involved in the management of research projects since 2016. Narin has hands-on experience in interviewing, data collection, quality control, data management and lately, client services.

She has experience with both qualitative and quantitative research using various data collection methods including door to door, FGD, IDI, Home Visit, CLT and Online. The research projects that she has been involved in include U&A, Brand Tracking, Customer Satisfaction, Media Consumption, Advertising Test and Product Taste Test etc.

Narin is a very detail-oriented employee and has very high commitment to deadlines.

Narin also has extensive experience in SPSS, Excel and SurveyCTO programs.


Mr. PHOUNG VUTHA, Field Operations Manager

Vutha has almost 5 years of experience in managing fieldwork and field teams for research projects in Cambodia. He has experience with both quantitative and qualitative research projects.

Vutha has managed his team for a number of projects including for large scale and complex projects such as retail audit and census for a leading global market research company.

He makes sure that all projects are always directed and supervised closely and properly, while costs are controlled and decision delays avoided.
