Philip is a Head of Research and Market Strategy professional with 25 years’ experience in the technology, media and telecoms (TMT) sector as well as with macro-economic and risk / policy projects.

Most recently, Phil was a Managing VP at Gartner, leading a team of analysts covering advanced TMT topics including IoT, AI, and Smart Cities. Prior to this, Phil has held roles including Global Head of Client Research for the Economist Intelligence Unit, and Head of Research at Machina Research, and where he led teams delivering research-based market strategy consulting, macro-economic projects, and geo-political analysis to support client market entry strategies.

Phil’s specialisation lies in research design, research operations, research strategy and revenue management, and in applying research analysis to market strategy, go-to-market, technology policy, and thought leadership. Phil has a degree in Psychology & English and a Masters in Computer Science.

Vuthy is one of Cambodia’s most experienced researchers. He provides clients with in-depth insights and strategies into the Cambodian market that are always found to be very useful.

He has nearly 20 years of experience in marketing and research in Cambodia. He began his market research career in 2006. Prior to founding MRTS, he was a founding member and country director of another research company in Cambodia for nearly eight years.

Vuthy gained his experience working with both local and international clients on a wide range of sectors, including banking and finance, telecommunications, construction, healthcare, FMCG, agriculture, and media.

As an ESOMAR member, Phoung Vuthy complies with the ICC/ESOMAR Code on Market and Social Research and ESOMAR World Research Guidelines.


Expertise: Business to Business and Quantitative Research

Hemant did his B.E. in Chemical Engineering. He brings along close to 20+ years of rich experience in Business to Business and Quantitative research methods. 

He has previously worked in agencies like ORG-Marg, Indica, and Ipsos in India. He has  extensive experience in projects ranging from Demand Estimation for Industrial Products, Brand tracking, U&A, Product testing, Concept Testing, Dealer & Customer Satisfaction, NPS.

He worked as Head – Market Insight & Intelligence at Pidilite Industries Ltd, for 7 years till Nov. 2017. His last assignment was as Director, Vox Populi Research & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. where he worked for 5 months.


Expertise: Qualitative Analytics & Reporting

She has worked in Market Research field in Thailand and Cambodia for over 30 years, both as a supplier and user of Market Research. Key employers include Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, Unilever, CRAM International UK, Slingshot Asia  and Synovate (now  Ipsos).

Jocelyn has worked  with clients  from FMCG, Real Estate, Automotive, Petrochemicals, White goods, Finance and Banking, Healthcare, Tourism,  Pet food , Garments, Fast Food,  and Cosmetics. As freelance consultant for several years, she has designed,  analyzed and reported projects for Global  market research and advertising agencies.

She has done research projects  in Mainland China, India, UK, Southeast Asia and Indochina. She has also  presented a  research paper at an ESOMAR  Conference.

Decades of experience in both qualitative and  quantitative  research methods– concept development and screening, formulations, simulated test markets,  pre and post launch tracking, advertising tests, Corporate Image and  Customer Satisfaction studies, and ethnography.


Expertise: Project  Management, CAPI & QC

Narin has over 9 years of experience in market research in Cambodia. She started her career in 2013 as an interviewer and was promoted to project manager in 2016. She has hands-on experience in all aspects of market research, including interviewing, data collection, quality control, data management, and client services.

Narin is proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and she has experience with a variety of data collection methods, including door-to-door interviews, focus groups, in-depth interviews, home visits, online surveys, and CLTs. She has worked on a wide range of research projects, including U&A, brand tracking, customer satisfaction, media consumption, advertising testing, and product taste tests.

Narin is a highly detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong commitment to deadlines. She is also proficient in SPSS, Excel, and SurveyCTO.


Expertise: Project Management (Quant & Online)

Kosal has over 6 years of experience in managing market research projects in Cambodia for overseas clients. He has experience with both quantitative and qualitative research projects, and he has managed teams of up to 10 people.

Kosal has a proven track record of success in managing large-scale and complex projects, such as retail audits and censuses. He is also an expert in building and managing online research projects.

Kosal is a highly organized and efficient individual with a strong attention to detail. He is also a skilled communicator and has a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.

Theyny started her career as a research intern in MRTS Consulting back in 2019. She was promoted to be the Research Executive after the internship period ended. Her main responsibilities were to assist in project management including translation, recruitment, training, supervising and QC.

Theyny made an impressive progress after spending 3 years with MRTS, she was promoted to be the Project Manager in the company.

She has extensive experience in managing qualitative research projects with a proven track record of success and high satisfaction from our clients.
